The Municipal Library of “Theano Zogiopoulou”

The Municipal Library of “Theano Zogiopoulou “aims at the dissemination of reading, creating future friends of the book, the aesthetic and social education, entertainment and spur the imagination and the development of research and critical thinking. Since 1989 functions in the same premises (donated by Theano Zogiopoulou) an area of 450 sqm properly configured. Working hours of the Municipal library: daily from Monday to Saturday 9 to2pm, at afternoons only Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 5.30 to 8 pm.

Someone can find today 18,000 volumes. There is a large collection of children’s books (around 5000) and historic books (around 3500-John Angelides Donation) and a collection of 1000 plays (donated by the Municipal Regional Theater-Macedonian Theatre). Moreover, there are Greek and international literature books for adults (psychology, music, art, etc.).
