Church of Panagia Paleoforitisa or Pantanassa
The temple of Panagia Paleoforitisa or Pantanassa was built on the 15th century; however after several interventions it underwent in the 18th century, changed from the original form into a three-aisled basilica.
The interventions made were so radical that elements of the original state of the temple are less perceivable to the visitor compared to any other temple in Veria. It still preserves the most ancient murals of the 15th century that add specific artistic and historical value to the decoration of the temple. The temple is also decorated by murals of the 16th and 18th century (1705 and 1730).
