Spiritual, Cultural and Exhibition Center of the Evxinos Club of Veria

Spiritual, Cultural and Exhibition Center of the Evxinos Club of Veria

The Evxinos Club of Veria was founded by first- and second-generation Pontic Greeks with the goal of preserving and maintaining the identity of Pontic Hellenism, particularly its history, culture, traditions, and language.
It is housed on a privately-owned 10-acre property in the Panorama area of Veria and features a state-of-the-art Spiritual, Cultural, and Exhibition Center. This venue hosts events organized by local associations and institutions throughout the year.
The Club maintains an office with set operating hours and a library with a large collection of books, primarily focused on Pontic topics. The same premises also house one of the most well-organized traditional costume wardrobes in Greece.
A folklore museum operates within the Cultural Center, and future plans include the creation of a modern museum to display and preserve the rich folklore materials owned by the Club.
The Evxinos Club of Veria publishes the newspaper “Argonautis” and organizes annual commemorative events for the Genocide of the Greeks of Pontus on May 19. These include voluntary blood donation, tree planting, torch-lit marches, lectures by respected historians and university professors, wreath-laying ceremonies, and theatrical performances depicting the tragic events of the era. The club also has a choir and departments dedicated to dance, music, and theater.
