Church of Saint Nicholas of Monk Anthimus
The Church of Saint Nicholas of Monk Anthimus, a three aisled basilica with a wooden two- aisled roof was built in 1565. The dedicatory inscription of the temple informs us that the temple was built by monk Anthimos to a catholic monastery.
The exquisite painting decoration of the temple was completed between 1565 and 1570; it includes plentiful topics thw depiction of Jesus Christ as the Great High Priest, the Virgin Mary as the Platytera, the Assumption of Virgin Mary, the Passion of the Christ etc.
