Next to the Byzantine Museum of Veria, onto the ancient walls of the city, two abandoned and ramshackle ottoman houses, have recently been restored, by the Ephorate of Antiquities of Imathia. The byzantine wall, which has also been restored, will become a place for educational activities , while the two houses will house the Ephorate of Antiquities and its byzantine library; under the plasters of the blue house- in fact this is what was left from a bey house of the late 18th century- which has been restored as close to the original as possible- several beautiful wall paintings have been revealed.
