The temple of Panagia Deksia was built in the 14th century but only a part of the sanctum of its original form is preserved which was later incorporated in the new bigger temple. The present temple has the form of a three-aisled Basilica and was reconstructed after a partial demolition of the original temple at the end of the 18th or at the beginning of the 19th century.
A few wall paintings of the 14th century are retained in the sanctum. The despotic illustrations on the templum of the temple and the icons of Mary and Jesus Christ also date from the Byzantine period.
